Conducting research in accordance with the GDPR
Many will have noticed the increased focus on the processing of data for biomedical research purposes. The most notable change is the introduction of the GDPR, which will enter into force in all European countries in May of 2018. In the Netherlands, the Data Protection Authority will be using its Dutch name: Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG).

Radboudumc is the first UMC to offer its researchers a digital research platform
Radboudumc and RSRCH have signed a collaboration agreement regarding the use of the RSRCH Platform. This makes the Radboudumc the first UMC in the Netherlands to give its researchers the tools to conduct their research in a repeatable and scalable manner and make it accessible and usable in a secure environment for national and international fellow researchers. All Radboudumc researchers can use the online Digital Research Environment (DRE).
